Vinnytsia Zoo

Vinnytsia Zoo is also an interesting recommended location for city guests. The local fund of animals impresses with its diversity – there are both local animals for Ukraine and exotic ones – birds, mammals, lizards and other interesting creatures. Despite the relatively small area, in total there are almost 400 inhabitants of more than 80 species – all the houses of animals are arranged very compactly, which creates a cozy atmosphere.

Not only families with children go to the zoo to relax, the place also attracts adults who just go for a walk on weekends and holidays.

The local zoo was one of the first to be established in Ukraine. Over the course of thirteen years, the Vinnytsia Zoo has undergone significant changes — the number of animals, the variety of species, and their living conditions have increased. In 2005, when the zoo was just founded, it was supposed to work as a territory for the preservation and development of local fauna, including species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. However, over the long time the zoo has been operating, the number of residents has increased, conditions have improved, so it is not surprising that this place has become another recreation area for both locals and tourists.

In the summer, many animals live in enclosures, equipped areas. In winter, heat-loving residents are transferred to closed premises, but you can also visit them.

They also support celebrations and organize interesting parties, so you can often get to festivals and bright shows.
